Get Your Marriage License for Your Dream Hawaiian Beach Wedding
If your's is a legal marriage ceremony, one of the requirements to be legally married in Hawaii is for the couple to obtain a valid Hawaii Marriage License and to present it to the officiant before the ceremony. The best way to do this is to go online. You can apply and pay for it there. For the application form, go to: https://emrs.ehawaii.gov/emrs/public/home.html.
You can pick up your license at an agency office at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel, Monday – Friday, except State holidays, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. For this office, you must have first applied and paid for your license online—they do not accept paper applications—plus bring $5 in cash. As you enter the hotel, walk up the narrow, green ramp on the right, and take the elevator to Manor #3508. You must make an appointment by email firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling (808) 931-8349.
If you need to go on a holiday or on the weekend, you can make special arrangements by calling ahead of time.
If you cannot go to the Sheraton go to the Department of Health at 1250 Punchbowl Street, 9:00 to 4:00 weekdays, (808) 586 4544. No appointment needed. Be sure to bring your paperwork with you to your ceremony.
