Two Heart One Love- Hawaii Vow Renewals

There were fond memories of their wedding day on February 14, 2009. Their theme was “Two hearts, one love”, printed on a shot glass with their names and two hearts entwined. Their rings were placed within, carried by their daughter.  A beautiful Hawaii vow renewal ceremony for Susie and Robert  were enjoyed with many loved ones supporting them. A day with light sunshine, chilly but yet beautiful Waimanalo Bay Beach awaited with the miles of white sandy beach just for Susie and Robert. Surprisingly no one else, what a nice omen for them. They came greeted by our Ohana crew, wearing colorful Hawaiian attires, dorminanty Valentine red and oranges. We will have a grand ceremony with the ukuleles-singer and hula dancers entertaining. Haku head leis for mother and daughter. With the Hawaiian wedding song and hula dancing, Susie and Robert in red Hawaiian outfits walked down the aisle. They proudly followed their beautiful daughter down the sandy aisle. The vows by Reverend Troy were beautiful accompanied by the ring exchange, The traditional sand ceremony involved all three of them as family. The leis, beautiful white and red made with fragrant orchids were used for the giving of the gift of Aloha. One for their daughter and two for each other. Blowing of the conch, love song and hula dance to honor the new Susie and Robert. A memorable Hawaii vow renewal ceremony. Congratulations and Mahalo to a fine couple and family.

Twenty year of wedded bliss, celebrated with a Hawaii vow renewal

twenty-year-of-wedded-bliss-celebrated-with-a-hawaii-vow-renewal

Jennifer and Eric  got married twenty years ago in Arizona and are spending another honeymoon in Hawaii. A beautiful memorable idea started to take shape. Let’s have a Hawaii vow renewal ceremony. It will be a romantic get away from their three children for a few days. Jennifer is a teacher and she home schools her daughter and two sons. They chose July 18, 2018 at Magic Island to repeat their vows. Today is their anniversary.  She arrived as a bride with a beautiful bridal gown of silk and satin, he looked great in a blue outfit with a vest.  Even after twenty years, there is a twinkle in their eyes with love and respect for each other.

Reverend Michael Nelson’s Hawaii vow renewal ceremonies are the best, he always tries to make it personal with what he knows about the couple. All of our Hawaii weddings and vow renewals are performed at these locations, Waialae-Kahala Beach, Magic Island or Waimanalo Bay beach. Jennifer and Eric chose Magic Island as their Hawaii wedding location with the historic Diamond Head in the background. Today unfortunately is a hazy day, none the less it is still a beautiful site. The Hawaiian flair of all of our ceremonies are not unique but we do have our own style with Aloha. The vows were not worded the same but the feelings of emotion were the same. We present the renewed Eric and Jennifer. Congratulations and have fun at the luau.

A beautiful gesture by her husband for a surprise Hawaii vow renewal ceremony brought laughter and tears of emotion from Stephanie. Mike and Stephanie Mizell decided to celebrate their 12th wedding anniversary with a honeymoon trip to Hawaii. The tricky part was Mike wanted this vow renewal to be a surprise for his wife. We helped him to the very end for it to be a happy and successful plan. After choosing a date for the ceremony, choosing of a Hawaii wedding location for him was easy. We use Hawaii wedding locations for vow renewals also, we offer just three locations which are all on the island of Oahu. Waialae Beach (aka Kahala Beach), Magic Island, and Waimanalo Bay Beach. They are all beautiful, perfect for weddings on the beach, with wonderful opportunities for photographs. For Mike, he felt Waimanalo Bay beach was the one with beautiful sandy beach and sparkling turquoise ocean.

When they arrived on June 12, 2018 at the location, on the pretense of having a photo shoot, Mike had already surprised Stephanie with a beautiful orchid haku head lei and a bouquet of orchid spray. So many surprises, even added gorgeous new rings to exchange. A total success on the surprise part of their Hawaii vow renewal date. Arriving at the sandy beach, Reverend Michael strolled casually introducing himself to the couple and announced “Congratulations, I will be doing your Hawaii vow renewal ceremony today”; Surprised Stephanie laughed with happiness looking at Mike. It was funny but romantic. A beautiful ceremony delivered by Reverend Michael. Beautiful pictures, beautiful memories to cherish forever. With Mike, you know he had another secret coming up under his sleeves that day. Mahalo for the fun day you shared with us.

Hawaii-Vow-Renewals

After twenty-five years of marital bliss, Chris and Marisa decided to say “I will” once again. A trip to Hawaii with their four children and all their loved ones was exciting, especially for Chris, unlike Marisa who have been to Hawaii many times. Chris was totally involved with the planning of their Hawaii vow renewal. He got the whole gang of 26 people to Waimanalo Bay Beach on time for the ceremony on May 30, 2018. The beautiful gown for Marisa, silver and gray was specially sewn by her Mom. The color for the ceremony was silver and black, dark navy blue and white. Their two daughters were beautiful in navy blue, the sons wore khaki trousers and white shirt like Chris. They were all involved in the ceremony. T-leaf leis were given to the groom and guys. Many wore woven ribbon leis with colors of green, black, silver, and dark blue. A beautiful vow renewal ceremony by Reverend Mike Nelson. Chris’s beautiful words to Marisa “Today I feel young again. You make me whole”. Congratulations to the new renewed Marisa and Chris.

Hawaii vow renewal – Journey together

A milestone anniversary celebrated with a Hawaii vow renewal ceremony, together with their two young sons. Ten years ago on April 16, 2008, Natalie and Michael were married in a chapel in Tasmania. Fond memories of that day were a reminder of their loving journey together as one heart, and in those ten years, two more hearts added. This happy and refined couple are so very close to their two red headed sons that this Hawaii vow renewal ceremony was not only for the parents, but also a Hawaii vow renewal for the children as a family. On April 16, 2018 on the shores of Waialae-Kahala Beach, Natalie and Michael stood with their sons, relaxed in Hawaiian Ohana (family) style. They were dressed casually but very stylish perfect for Hawaii weddings and Hawaii vow renewals.

A beautiful sunny morning, with gentle waves washing up on the sandy beach, we hear the sound of the conch blown by Reverend Nelson. Our ceremony of love and commitment begins with a Hawaiian sand ceremony to continue their mixing of lives forward.  The beauty of writing their own renewal vows to each other was heartwarming. The most beautiful part was the surprise “Our Hawaii vow renewal to our sons”. Michael and Natalie wrote special vows to their sons. Each son were given vows separately and awarded the gift of love which is a flower lei.  Hugs and kisses followed as well as a Hawaiian lei exchange for Natalie and Michael. What a beautiful and memorable day it was for this wonderful family from Australia. A Hawaii vow renewal will be followed by journey together to Las Vegas, Orlando, San Francisco and Los Angeles before returning to Australia. Mahalo from wedaloha.

Elaine was radiant in a off white lace dress, and Chris was cool in white shirt and khaki walking shorts. A beautiful french bouquet for Elaine with sprays of  pink and purple orchids. As they stood holding hands, Reverend Mike Nelson blew the conch shell to begin their Hawaiian vow renewal ceremony.  Facing each other, Elaine and Chris held hands and enjoyed the beautiful ceremony renewing their vows of 35 years ago. Wedding Stories- Wedding of Hawaii

wedding-of-hawaii

Hawaii vow renewals are about celebrating your love and the continuation of your happy life together, with a ceremony similar to your original wedding day. The wedding vows you made that day may not be the same, but they bear the same or a deeper meaning. Many couples decide to do this after some years of marriage, for instance 5 years, 10 years and so on. Fun and stress free, many couples enjoy this ceremony more then their actual wedding. Some are planned as surprises, some have their traditionally enjoyment of celebrating vow renewals every 5 years. As Hawaii wedding planners, we offer our Hawaii wedding packages to those who are interested in having Hawaii vow renewals.

On February 8, 2018 Janelle and her husband, Drew, along with their two children, arrived at Magic Island at Ala Moana Park. She told him about the vow renewal ceremony as they got out of their Lyft ride. It was a well kept secret, a delightful surprise for him. Happily married for 10 years, a Hawaiian vacation and the icing on the cake, a delightful Hawaii vow renewal with their children as witnesses. They all wore Hawaiian attire, with son and daughter sporting fragrant yellow plumeria leis. One of the leis were taken apart and flowers lay on the grass as altar decoration. Reverend Michael Nelson, reminded them of their commitment from their original vows in a church. Today they stood in Hawaii, with Diamond in the background, their children watching, taking the same vows they did 10 years ago. Words were different, but everything a Hawaii vow renewal ceremony can offer with deep Aloha. Married again in beautiful Hawaii, Janelle an Drew from Bismarck, N. Dakota. Celebration at McDonald, to the joy of their children. Congratulations and Mahalo.

A Hawaiian vow renewal ceremony so different from their 5th, and 10th. Colorful , with orange, green, blue, purple and yellow colors. Reverend Mike presented them with their 3rd vow renewal ceremony with traditional Hawaiian flair at Kahala Beach. Everyone received a Hawaii vow renewal gift of flower leis with beautiful ribbons matching the color of their outfits. What a great idea! Celebration on a catamaran in Waikiki in the afternoon. Congratulation to Janelle and Drew.

Thank you for sharing your special day of Hawaii weddings and Hawaii vow renewals

For us, half of our business is planning Hawaii weddings and the other half is planning Hawaii vow renewals. On this Thanksgiving week, we share four recent wedding stories, thanking these lovely couples for sharing their special day with us.

Celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary, Alyssa and Jonathan of Austin, Texas flew to Hawaii for a second honeymoon. On second thought, why not have a Hawaii vow renewal also. This beautiful and vibrant couple got married in Jamaica in October 2012. They like the outdoors and enjoy the beach scene and a Hawaii beach vow renewal seemed like a perfect fit for them. Choosing the Plumeria package and Waialae Beach location, they enjoyed a memorable Hawaii vow renewal ceremony by Rev. Mike Nelson. In Jamaica, they did not have a sand ceremony, so our Hawaiian unity sand ceremony was a new and enjoyable experience for them. Renewing of vows and enjoying the lei exchange, they were pronounced the new renewed Jonathan and Alyssa. They happily returned home and are enjoying their many beautiful photos. Thank you and congratulations.

Celebrating their forty-first wedding anniversary, was loving couple Bob and Cindy Nicolas of Oswego, Illinois on November 6, 2017. Today is their anniversary, at this time 3:00 pm they married in a Catholic Church in Chicago. They chose Magic Island as their vow renewal location and enjoyed the Magic Island experience tremendously. They are so in love, Bob kept sneaking kisses with Cindy. A beautiful Hawaii vow renewal ceremony by Rev. Mike Nelson on a beautiful Hawaiian day. Simple ceremony but so much love. Forty-one years and going strong. Mahalo, to these youngsters.

From Australia to Hawaii, Melissa and Jason wanted to get married quietly and decided to look for someone to plan their Hawaii wedding, and luckily for us, they found a liking to what we offer. These very tall and good looking love birds decided to have their wedding ceremony at Magic Island. She was so lovely in a stylish cream colored dress and he looked great in white shirt and khaki trousers. A beautiful Hawaiian wedding ceremony by Reverend Mike, featuring the blowing of the conch, and floral lei exchange as a gift of Aloha. They became the new Jason and Melissa with their vows of ” I will love you forever” on November 13, 2017. Aloha and Mahalo for sharing your special day with us.

A babymoon instead of a honeymoon. Denae and Michael of Utah found out they were pregnant with twins, a boy and a girl. They moved up their wedding/honeymoon from 2018 to a Hawaii wedding and a quick babymoon. On November 13, 2017 at Magic Island the 4-of-them arrived smiling happily. A wonderful couple we enjoyed getting to know helping them begin a new life together. Hawaii weddings on the west side of Magic Island with ocean background and the sandy beaches of Ala Moana beach park, creates a feeling of being part of the city of Honolulu. Denae looked like a Hawaiian Princess with a beautiful flower haku head lei, her Michael with a maile leaf lei stood beside her, as her Prince. Reverend Mike Nelson married them together as a family of four. A new life begins Congratulations and thank you for being with on this important day.

A thank you from A wedding in Hawaii for sharing your Hawaii weddings and Hawaii vow renewals with us. Aloha!
