SAVE A LOT OF MONEY ON YOUR WEDDING!

GET MARRIED IN HAWAII!!

Brides now spend around $24,000 on their wedding day. You can have a wedding in Hawaii for less than 1/3rd of that! And, that includes airfare, a good hotel, meals, and a complete wedding package.

Hawaii beach weddingsAloha! Welcome and thank you for visiting our Hawaii wedding site. A Wedding in Hawaii has been planning beautiful Hawaii weddings since 1980, and we are proud to be considered a top established Hawaii wedding planner service.

"Memories of your wedding are forever". We would love to help you create a beautiful, stress free wedding for you on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.

Our quality and services are second to none (please check our our testimonials and Hawaii wedding pictures); Every one of us is a professional with many years of experience. Our ministers are friendly and licensed by the state of Hawaii; our professional photographers and videographers will capture all your memories for you to remember forever. Hawaii Wedding Photography

Your Hawaii Wedding Photography is done on high resolution cameras in full file mode, and edited/enhanced in Photoshop. You will receive your photographs as a download.

Some couples want us to take a lot of pictures, but don't really care if they get paper prints. They feel that with a lot of files they can choose just what they want and have those files made into prints back home. We call this the "Lots of Pictures" option. Up to hundred pictures to download. No prints or album, just Lots of Pictures to download.

Click images to see photo gallery.

FOR LOTS OF PICTURES

With the Plumeria, Plumeria Plus and the Paradise packages, FOR LOTS OF PICTURES, you can have up to 100 pictures to download. Fully edited and enhanced in Photoshop/Lightroom for $225. No prints, just lots of pictures.

Hawaii Wedding Videography

video

DVD is a wonderful way to relive your wedding day time after time in the years ahead. Your DVD will be produced by a full-time professional (again, usually me), shot and fully edited on broadcast level equipment. Personal titles, slow motion, digital effects, and special insert editing techniques for a multi-camera look are all included. You can even provide your own music that is meaningful to you. I use wireless microphones for clear audio of your vows. Unless you are leaving right away, your finished DVD in a handsome personalized case will be delivered to you before you leave Hawaii. And remember, you can show your DVD at your reception when you get back home. The cost of this coverage is $380.

Video editting service

All editing is done at the sole discretion of A Wedding In Hawaii.

Good Tip: When you get home please make a copy of your DVD. I have very limited video storage space, and re editing a wedding video would be costly. You can pre order additional DVD for $20.

Please keep in mind that site fees are in addition to your package.

WAIALAE BEACH PARK

This is the perfect setting for the sand, ocean, palm tree look, and it's free. The nice thing is that there are very few people around where we hold the ceremonies. There are very nice pictures possibilities here. It is only a little way out of Waikiki, but, unfortunately, you cannot see the sun set. Parking is limited if you drive. Weekend and holiday ceremonies require Limousine service.

Permit required - $20.

Getting your Marriage License in Hawaii

If your's is a wedding ceremony, one of the requirements to be legally married in Hawaii is for the couple to obtain a valid Hawaii Marriage License and to present it to the officiant before the ceremony. The best way to do this is to go online. You can apply and pay for it there. For the application form, go to: https://emrs.ehawaii.gov/emrs/public/home.html. Click "Home" and fill out the application. When you get to Honolulu go to the marriage license office in the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. For an appointment call 808 922 4422 and ask for the Marriage License office, or just walk in. Be sure to bring the paperwork they will give you to your ceremony. There is no blood test or waiting period

Hawaii Wedding Vow Renewal

Click to Enlarge If the two of you have been thinking of some way to re-affirm your love and marriage, a Renewal is a wonderful way for you to further deepen your love and commitment. It is a chance to declare to your spouse, to yourself, and to others that even knowing what you know, you would still choose to marry each other.

The renewal ceremony is a very special and meaningful event. Our minister customizes the ceremony by talking about your original wedding, the years you've been married, and the symbolism of your original rings. Also, you will receive a special certificate to mark this important milestone in you relationship.Hawaii Vow Renewals

When you combine your Renewal with a second honeymoon in Hawaii, the Renewal Ceremony becomes a most memorable and romantic experience...one to cherish for a lifetime.

Please click the buttons on the left to see our services and their prices. Vow renewals are same pricing structures as weddings.

Remember, you do not need a marriage license for your vow renewal.

Hot Hawaiian Tips...

Aloha. I thought I would jot down a few ideas that might make your wedding and honeymoon in Hawaii a little more carefree, a little more fun.

1) Sunblock lotion - use a LOT of it. Hawaii is in the Tropics, and the sun is much stronger here. Nothing can make you as miserable as a painful, searing sunburn. So buy UVA/UVB sunblock lotion, at least SPF 45. Believe me, you won't regret it.

2)When you book your hotel, be sure to ask if they will be hitting your credit card for the full amount of your stay when you first check in. Knowing that can save you an ugly surprise later when you try to buy something and your card is turned down because your hotel took your money in advance.

3) You're in Hawaii, thousands of miles from home. LIVE IT UP! Take some tours, go to a luau, get a massage, relax, enjoy our beautiful state and have fun!

4) Even though you are here in Paradise, Honolulu is a big city with some big city problems. If you rent a car to go sight seeing, never leave any valuables in your car when you get out. Keep your purse and valuables with you at all times. No late night strolls down the back alleys of Waikiki, either.

5) Hiring a wedding company like mine to plan your wedding in Hawaii is the best way to go. That company should take all the stress and effort out of planning a wedding so far from home.

6) Be sure to alert your credit card company that you will be making charges in Hawaii.

Of course I would like to say that I am definitely the company for you... but maybe I'm not. Look closely at the websites that interest you. Be sure they offer what you want. The old saying is, "If they don't advertise it, they don't do it". For instance, you won't find butterfly releases on my site. If you absolutely have to have butterflies at your ceremony, you need to find a company that provides that service.

Be careful of companies that promise to do anything you ask for, provide any service you want when they don't actually have those items on their website. Promising is easy, but successfully following through might not happen.'

And be realistic. That beach with all those blooming flowers and a waterfall with a stream you saw on a postcard does not exist.

About Permits: To be married in a park or on the beach you will need a "use permit". It is your wedding company's job to get that permit. The cost is $20. If your wedding company wants to charge you more than $20 for the permit, ask why. The permit is only $20.

6) Deposits. Most companies require a deposit to hold your wedding date. My deposit is fairly small, other companies may want somewhat more.

7) Be sure that whatever company you hire to arrange your wedding is actually here in Hawaii. No, really. You need someone right here to make sure everything goes according to plan. Say your limo is in a fender bender on the way to pick you up and won't be able to make it. Who does he call? Who do you call? Some wedding company in California? No. You need someone right here in Hawaii to take care of things for you.

8) To avoid major (and minor) mis-understandings, be sure that whoever is giving you advise, information, or instructions regarding Hawaii is actually living in Hawaii even if it is your travel agent. You would be amazed at the mis-information I sometimes hear.

Be careful of companies that want full payment up front. Why do they need all your money now?

Also be careful of companies that do not require a deposit at all. If you haven't paid them anything, they are under no obligation to do anything for you.

If you cancel your wedding, will you get your deposit back? Usually, no. Depending on the services or package you've ordered, a number of people will be working on your wedding. The minister, photographer, limo company, videographer, musicians. All the people involved in your ceremony will have blocked time for you in their schedules and will be turning away other business to do your wedding. If you cancel, they should get something.
