Frank Mak who gave the ceremony a truly personal touch with moving words of wisdom and encouragement. As I approach my first birthday as a married woman, I would like to take this opportunuty to thank you for making our wedding one that we will remember always with joy and happiness. Andrew and I wanted to have a simple cerimony, something just for the two of us. The idea was that since it was OUR special day and that we would spend it exactly as we wished... and our wedding cerimony was perfect. It wasn't too long, Rev. Mark was very personable and pleasant and even funny! The location was amazing! Although we chose a busy island, Waialae Beach felt like our own private paradise. | Hi Roger! First of all, I want to apologize for taking so long to write this.. Huw and I have been extraordinarily busy the last several months. Anyway, I just wanted to write you and thank you for the most amazing wedding we could have ever asked for. We've now been married for a little over 5 months and we still talk about how we couldn't have ever asked for a better wedding then the one you gave us. We were actually originally planning on this huge wedding where you have to pick out all the food and linens and all that other stuff that we realized that it was only taking away from what should be a special day for us. Not only did you set everything completely up, but you took incredibly beautiful pictures and even dealt with us when we wanted to make sure Huw and I couldn't see each other until the moment we got married. The guitar singer was awesome and sang so wonderfully, the minister was great, and the location was beautiful. We even got to walk right over to the hotel behind where we got married and watch dolphins jump around. You made it so we didn't stress about a single thing and you gave us the most beautiful and amazing wedding we could have ever asked for. | Dear Mr Parsons, A year has past since my husband and I got married in Waialea beach Park and we are so happy. We want to thank you very, very much for everything you did for us. You've probably arranged hundreds of marriages since you did our marriage one year ago, so how might I remind you of who we are? Well, we were married on August 21, 1999 at Diamond Head by Reverend Mark Yasuhara. Our families were there, Jay had three "best men" and my bridesmaids and maid of honor sang "Going to the Chapel" after the ceremony and you got it on videotape. Does this ring a bell? Anyway, ever since that beautiful day in August, Jay and I have been meaning to send you a thank you letter and we apologize for not sending this sooner. We just celebrated our first anniversary (we're now in Seattle) and it's been a really wonderful year - being married is way more than either of use ever expected! We just really wanted to thank you for an incredibly beautiful ceremony, great arrangement, and the wonderful videotape and photos. Everything went so smoothly, from our very first e-mail interactions, to choosing the wedding site, to saying "I do" with Diamond Head in the background!! The site was beautiful, the limo driver was very nice, and Mark Yasuhara'[s service was touching, insightful, and seemed so personal even though he hardly knew us (he had a great sense of humor, too). We still can't believe how the whole thing went without a hitch (except for Jay getting super sick before the ceremony - he still claims it wasn't nerves!), and you made it so easy. Aloha Roger, It's Bev Biccum. You arranged the wedding for Diana and Neil Bliss. I just wanted to thank you for making the day perfect for them. We had a great time in Hawaii and will return some day. When we arrived home in Calgary it was chilly and within an hour the temperature dropped twenty degrees and we had the biggest blizzard of the year. Thank you for all that you did to make our wedding so special. We have now been married for one year. When we reminisce on the Myriad of details, - which your spectacularly arranged - it still brings a frequent smile. The gorgeous leis for the entire family smelled so fresh & wonderful. The magnificent view at Diamond Head Park, coupled with perfect weather. You may not be able to take all of the credit for the weather, but you did recommend the location. We found Beverly to be a very caring & professional Specialist. The makeover she did was flawless, and we thought it very convenient that she came to the hotel room. Kimi received many compliments on how elegant she looked. We enjoyed the tour around Hawaii in an immaculately clear limousine piloted by a friendly fellow Canadian, and made a complete with a chilled bottle of champagne. The rout and her interesting commentary gave us a glimpse of Hawaii that we would not otherwise have learned. The special wedding dinner menu at Nicholas Nicholas was fabulous, and included a stunning panoramic view of the harbor. I am running out of adjectives, and the best items are still be mentioned. We really appreciated having Pastor Mak perform the wedding ! He gently navigated us through the service, and his message was warm and heartfelt. The one thing that keeps these fond memories so vivid is the skilled craftsmanship that you so obviously possess. We count the pictures and video that you produced among our most treasured possessions. It is perhaps good that I already used the adjectives, as I could not come close to describing how we feel about these. Thank you for providing such priceless keepsakes. Hello Roger; Just a note to let you know that we arrived safely in Virginia... I will admit that the travel went very smooth but was rather nerve wrecking with all of the Military around. Its strange that something that gives you a feeling of security can also cause so much anxiety in people.... Seeing all of the guns and such can really stir some people up... We did see an arrest of a gentleman at Honolulu airport, he was taken off of the check in line put in handcuffs and then had a coat draped over his hands so that other people could not see the cuffs.... You could however see the chains that were around his waist and he was also being escorted by two plainclothes and 2 military dressed officers...... The purpose of the note was to say thank you so much for all of you assistance in making our vow renewal so special... From beginning to end it was perfect for us !!!!! The photos capture the service so well, they will provide us with lasting memories. The flowers were beautiful and smelt so wonderful. I carefully wrapped all of them in newspaper and carried them on the plane in a special bag as I keep hopes in being able to dry them to preserve them.... I would like to send Rev. What if Daniel and I showed up on our wedding day and neither you nor our minister were anywhere to be found? But your prompt replies to my e-mails and phone calls put me at ease and convinced me that you were not only honest, but a very organized business man! When we met you at our weeding site, I felt as comfortable as if I were seeing an old friend I hadn't seen in a while. That definitely came across in the oneness of our expressions on all of the beautiful photographs you took. I'm moved more and more each time I look at them! And to receive not only the proofs but the negatives too, is a tremendous benefit. I'm looking forward to preparing our wedding album as well as one for each of our mothers. Dear Roger, After having watched the video tape of our wedding (which of course, you took) for the 100th time and having looked at our wedding photos (which of course you, "the master" took) for the 100th time we finally have had the opportunity to write you this letter of MANY THANKS. Eric and I both cannot begin to put into words how happy we are with the outcome of our wedding video and photos that you took. Everyone that has seen the video and photos have been so impressed. Even strangers who get a glimpse of our photos as we share them with people we know have commented on how great they are and have asked who was the photographer. Weddings in themselves are nerve racking let alone having to worry about how your pictures will turn out. However, with ROGER PARSONS around "HAVE NO FEAR" the ugliest of brides will be beautiful. There is not a time when Eric and I watch the video with our family and friends that one of them doesn't comment on how the video is like watching a "fairy tale." Hi there Roger..well we are home and I think all is back to normal!! Had to buy luggage to get stuff home. Anyhow, wanted to thank you and let you know how wonderful EVERYTHING was. Bev was great and did wonders!! The flowers were wonderful and just what I wanted. Robert and I loved the pictures and video. Aloha! It is Sachi and Kevin who got married at the Hale Koa on 29th of August. I know it was kind of hectic covering all our ceremony and that crazy bilingul reception but the beautiful pictures and video proved that we were able to entertain everyone and that they had fun! The pictures are all amazing and beautiful. Turned out just like I imagined them to be after checking your site, and fell in love with your pictures. Everyone compliments your pictures and keep asking who did such a wonderful job! I look at the pictures almost everyday like obsession and Kev thinks that I am really obsessed! Also LOVED the video. Especially loved the part where you edited my co-worker sleeping to the sound of ukulele that we were performing, that was hilarious!! and how you put kev and I kissing in the marriage certificate like a comic bubble! So cute! Other slow motion stuff was VERY cool too and wonder how you managed to do all that editing in such a short time!! Great work, Roger and sorry if we used up all your time and got you all exhausted! (You must have been so tired after the reception! I myself almost fainted a couple of times! LOL). We have been meaning to write thank you card to everyone but I have gone straight back to work and haven't had any time at all to do anything, so I will send another thank you card to you and Frank when I have time. but just wanted to quickly say Thank you, and for doing such a wonderful job with the video and the pictures!! It was a very memorable event for all of us, Kevin's father has a terminal cancer and was VERY ill during the ceremony and the reception throughout the trip but he surely enjoyed our wedding, and everybody had such a great time! Hello Roger, I hope all is well in Hawaii. Minako and I are very happy with how everything went and wanted to thank you for the wonderful job of planning and effort you put into our wedding. Even though we made lot of last minute changes, the wedding was very wonderful and memorable. We did not know exactly what to expect from the wedding in Hawaii, but were very impressed with how everything turned out. When we arrived at the garden, the view of the garden surrounded by the ocean was just breathtaking. It was just unreal to have wedding ceremony under such a wonderful setting. We would most definitely recommend this location to others. Reverend Yasuhara, our minister, was very warm and kind to us. We appreciated his ability to perform the wedding in both English and Japanese for our guests. It certainly made it easy for our Japanese parents and helped them feel more comfortable in the ceremony. Beverly, Minako's makeup artist did such a wonderful job with Minako's makeup and hair. Everyone who saw our wedding pictures complimented how beautiful she looked. We would recommend her to anyone who would get married in Hawaii. She is easy to talk to, and is very professsional and experienced in what she does. We also appreciated all our limousine driver did for us. He was very prompt and courteous. Even though we made few last minute pickup changes, he was easy to work with and made our ride around the island to many locations very smooth. All the flowers were gorgeous. For as many different additions we asked for, including Minako's Haku head lei and bouquet, the bride & groom's lei's, and the corsages and boutonnieres for our guests, everything matched so well. A very professional job. And finally, the pictures and videotape made us extremely happy. Everything came out very well. They are a wonderful way to look back on our day. Many of our friends have seen them and find them to be a brilliant job. Again, we thank you for everything. You have made the beginning of our lives together a wonderful thing that we will always remember with good thoughts, and would highly recommend you to anyone who would think of getting married in Hawaii. Planning our wedding could not have been easier. All I had to do was decide the things that I wanted, you did the rest! I enjoyed our pre-wedding conversations, instead of exchanging emails, that made me feel better about someone else planning my perfect day. I had no idea just how perfect it would turn out to be. Alex, our limo driver, was superb! He treated us like royalty and we felt like it. Art, the guitarist and singer, added a Hawaiian specialty to our wedding and although we were not sure about having someone stand on the beach and sing, we are so pleased that you recommended him. Reverend Mak made us comfortable from the unexpected fax that he sent to the hotel, and his greeting upon our arrival at the site, all the way through our beautifully done ceremony. Kathy did my make up and hair and I am so glad that I chose to have that done. She was very friendly and professional and quickly set my mind at ease, that I would look fresh and fashionable on my wedding day. It is a much needed help for such a wonderful day. Brianna, your assistant, was also very friendly and helpful to me while the wind was blowing my veil and hair. I feel certain that her special attention helped our pictures turn out so well. And, of course, saving the best for last, I thank you for arranging everything for us. Mailing my dress to you ahead of time, was helpful and took a huge burden from my mind and my travel. Our pictures turned out so nice and the video has brought tears to my eyes everytime I have watched it. Everything was done with such professionalism and a wonderful sense of personalization. When we first decided to go to Hawaii to get married, our family thought we were crazy! One of my mom's main concerns was that I was not going to have nice "memories" with good pictures and video, etc... Our wedding, actually 2 months ago today, May 24, was the happiest and most special day of our lives, and we have you to thank for that! You carried out all of the details as promised, and on time, Even when we changed the location of the ceremony at the last moment, you in turn made all the necessary arrangements to accommodate that last-minute change of plans. From the flowers to the ceremony, everything was fabulous. The pictures and the video were the very best part of all. We actually looked photogenic in almost every shot! The pictures were absolutely beautiful, we get so many compliments on them. The video was incredible. You edited in our favorite songs which made it so personal and very special to us. Anyway, ever since that beautiful day in August, Jay and I have been meaning to send you a thank you letter and we apologize for not sending this sooner. We just celebrated our first anniversary (we're now in Seattle) and it's been a really wonderful year - being married is way more than either of use ever expected! We just really wanted to thank you for an incredibly beautiful ceremony, great arrangement, and the wonderful videotape and photos. Everything went so smoothly, from our very first e-mail interactions, to choosing the wedding site, to saying "I do" with Diamond Head in the background!! The site was beautiful, the limo driver was very nice, and Mark Yasuhara'[s service was touching, insightful, and seemed so personal even though he hardly knew us (he had a great sense of humor, too). We still can't believe how the whole thing went without a hitch (except for Jay getting super sick before the ceremony - he still claims it wasn't nerves!), and you made it so easy. | Dear Roger, Shirley asked me at one point what it was that made me decide to have YOU be the one to orchestrate our wedding. I just told her that I got a really good feeling from talking to you and I felt that you would take care of everything... which you did... in ways that far exceeded anything I could have imagined! One (of many) things we appreciated was the time you took with us between the time we decided on a date with you and the time we arrived. We called several times with requests and questions and you were always patient, flexible and easy to talk to. I felt we were being treated on a very personal level rather than as "just another wedding" to arrange. You also enlightened us on local customs and made us feel comfortable with the choices we made. From the time we arrived the day before the wedding, you made us feel like we were your most important clients. It's nice to feel that way! We felt that everything was under control and all we had to do was show up. (Which is coincidentally, what you told us once!) Everything, and I mean everything that you had a hand in, went smoothly and perfectly and made the fantasy a reality. The limo was truly unique, the driver (Frenchy) was one of the most personable people I have ever met (perfect for the role), the minister was delightful, and you, well, you were the perfect host. And the photography. Wow!! I have never heard so many raves from prople looking at an album. The framing of the subjects in the pictures, the expressions, the angles, the lighting, the softness and tenderness of the event and the beauty of the surroundings all reflect your superlative talent as an artist and photographer. The first time we watched the video we were so overwhelmed with the magnificence of the event, the graphics and the special effects that we missed an awful lot. We have watched that video many times and it gets better and better. When we show it to other people there is rarely a dry eye in the room. Again, it is not just what is in the video that is impressive, but rather how you arranged it, edited it and integrated the music and special effects. It has to be seen to be believed. Shirley and I had been going together for about two months when she told me she once had a fantasy of getting married in Hawaii. That was October, 1991. When we decided in February, 1992 to actually do it, I think there was a fear that the reality would not match the fantasy. And frankly, I really didn't know what to expect. We were delighted when we watched the video, and could actually relive the moment. Hi Roger... This past weekend for one reason or another Karl's Grandmother first seen our DVD of the wedding. It reminded us of how wonderful the day was. You made everything perfect.
